Training Description:
- January - This month we will learn how to operate the
Alinco radios that are install in our county, hospital and portable
locations. You will learn general operation, how to switch between
VFO and memory modes, setting the radio for simplex and other
features.
- February - There will be no training this month.
- March - This training will be in preperation for severe
weather season with Skywarn nets, conditions and reporting.
This
training will also include a tabletop exercise.
- April - This training will take place at the 911 radio
room. Everyone will learn how to activate, operate and secure the
station for an activation
- May - This training will be on set up and operation of
the county communications trailer. Everyone will learn how to set
up, operate and secure the trailer for an activation. This training
will be held at the county hanger at Harry Browne Airport.
- June - Direction finding exercise - fox hunt exercise
using teams in Harvey Randall Wicks park
- July - N/A
- August - Movie and picnic night, For the picnic, please bring a dish to pass and
a chair for the movie
- September - We will be preparing for the ARRL/Local/State
SET planned for October 7.
- October - SET review
- November - This month we will add additional skills and
practice with a
tabletop exercise using Winlink.
- December - Annual joint breakfast with SVARA, Sullivan's
Restaurant, 5235 Gratiot Rd, Saginaw. Awards will be given out in
several categories.

Exit I-75 at E. Holland Ave (M-46) and travel East to N. Towerline
Road. Turn left
and travel North to Janes Road. Turn right and travel East.
The airport will be on
your left. Enter the main entrance. The Pilots Lounge is
located in the large hanger
building.
