 Becoming a member of Saginaw County ARES/RACES requires
the following:

(Amateur Radio Emergency Service
- ARRL affiliated)
- An Amateur Radio License, or the desire to train
and receive one.
- Willingness to show up, participate and train to
respond to and assist during emergencies in the county, and surrounding
communities.
- Earning your ID Card through the Saginaw Valley
Amateur Radio Association
ARES application document


(Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service
- State of Michigan and Michigan State Police affiliated)
- Ability to pass a background investigation
- Completing Homeland Security

- Earning your ID Card, issued by the authority of
the State Police Office of Emergency Management, Saginaw County
